2. Wow. Absolutely breathtaking. October at the Royal Albert Hall was light years from September at the Club. Siouxsie, Severin, and the passion remained, but now there was Budgie, there was Robert Smith, there were 5 albums and 7 years of evolution, experience, touring, performing, and perfecting that particular brand of intoxicating, vaguely disturbing witchcraft that was Siouxsie /5(48).

3. I bought this vinyl album when it first came out along with the VHS movie. Wow. Great stuff. Yes I'm that old but I was into "punk" before it was called "punk." I have all of Siouxsie and the Banshees albums and many of their EPs and 12" 45s. This live album really captures them at their best/5(50).

7. Nocturne is a top-notch live double album recorded in at the Royal Albert Hall. The sound quality is first-rate and the band performs excellently here. The songs on this release run a wide chronological range, from early numbers like the Lennon/McCartney cover "Helter Skelter" (here given a fire-breathing performance) to their recent single of the time (another Beatles song), "Dear Prudence.".
